Excursion won't start!
My friend has been having some issues with his 04 6.0. The truck was parked in his driveway at night. No previous known issues other than the HPOP may have been going out (hard hot starts). Truck wouldn't start the next day; it was close to empty so we ended up putting about 15 gallons of fuel in. Still no start, fuel pump was replaced but still nothing. There is no injector buzz when the key is on. Scanner buzz test also only heard two of the injectors buzz quietly. Got injector circuit low codes for all 8. Truck does have low pressure oil and ICP was at 500-1000 psi cranking. IPR was averaging about 50% duty cycle, with a spike to 85 initially. FICM sync is good, but FICM voltage was 48 not cranking, dropping to ~25v cranking and hitting a low of 17v. Is the FICM bad? we may be able to get hold of a good FICM to test. truck also has a SCT tune on it. I believe it was stock but they had a 50hp tune on for a while. I know 7.3s but havent worked on 6.0s much. Any advice or insight is much appreciated!

FICM is definitely bad. What are his battery voltages at? FICM is definitely a major cause of this no start though. But before you throw in a good one, make sure he takes care of his batteries if they are bad.

Thats our next step. We are taking them back to costco tomorrow. They are only 2.5 years old though. We charged the batteries and hooked it up to their 7.3, still no start. FICM voltage dropped to 35 then back to 19.
