Blue plug E4OD?
Mysterious blue plug laying on top of my E4OD; right above the shift solenoid on the passenger side.
Anyone know what it goes to? Or what it is for?

Interesting! The previous owner hacked the exhaust off at basically the manifold and welded up a homemade exhaust, very poorly. So that could very well be it.

I believe those are all O2 sensor related
Unfortunately he didn’t weld a catalytic converter on, just a straight pipe with a muffler from the manifold. And my luck would have it that the missing O2 sensor would probably be after the catalytic converter I bet lol

My recommendation would be to undo the previous work done, get a new catalytic system and manifolds if they are damaged. Magnaflow makes direct fit units and maybe you could do headers, make it scream a bit. 😁

I believe there are three O2 sensors on a 1996 4.9L F150. Bank 1 is in the front three exhaust pipes/collector. Bank 2 is in the rear three.
The third sensor is behind the converter. It's only used to calculate converter efficiency.
