SpringerPop's airfilter mod
SpringerPop, I was just looking at your airfilter (Mod) & had a few questions.
I would like to remove all the Stock airbox that hold the duel rectangle shape air filters.
As well as the (air scoops) that connect to the box and work there way down near the front grill. All this stuff is just in the way & takes extra time to remove bolts...
My questions are...
1. Do you think this filter can be/fit to use on under the hood of a E-Series Van?
2. Has anyone checked or considered what the filter's micron size might be compared
to the OEM filters they are removing? (Don't (you) need to be concerned that they meet some specification for that or does everyone just figure an air filter is an air filter?
I am trying to remember but I think the rubber boot that connects to the OEM air box on a 2003 Van is Oval in shape. Are the F series different (Round?) or do you just make them fit by squeezing them from oval to round? DDT
