My wife said I had a grin on my face all day and she couldn't figue out why .... I just purchased my first Ex this spring, 02 7.3L 4" w/33's and I have never been happier about a vehicle ... but I think you all know that already ....

I would agree with Ranger. That looks to me like you will suck in a lot of hot air. uderneath it.

Roody congrats on your new found addiction that we all share. I would be a little concerned about the hot air but if you do the ZooDad mod if would help tremendously, it will only take 1/2 an hour or so and it's free. search for a how-to, if you can't find it myself or one of the other guys can explain

Does the filter get wet from water running down between the fender and the hood?

I wish Banks would make one of their ram air style intakes for the 7.3L like they make for the 6.0L.

I have the 6637 mod on my f350 and have a filter sitting in my garage for the excursion I just acquired. It is a great mod. The hot air is myth in my opinion I dont see how it is much if any hotter than the factory air box. Unless maybe your idling all day long, but then that shouldnt matter anyway. I showed it to the diesel tech at our local dealership and he liked it enough to put one on his personal pickup. The factory air box is junk!!

Maybe your next "mod" should be a pressure washer for that engine compartment!
