I want to thank all of you for all the information contained in this forum ... and curse you as well ... I performed my first mod ... 6637 ... My wife said I had a grin on my face all day and she couldn't figue out why .... I just purchased my first Ex this spring, 02 7.3L 4" w/33's and I have never been happier about a vehicle ... but I think you all know that already ....
Roody congrats on your new found addiction that we all share. I would be a little concerned about the hot air but if you do the ZooDad mod if would help tremendously, it will only take 1/2 an hour or so and it's free. search for a how-to, if you can't find it myself or one of the other guys can explain

Zoodad is number two ... also trying to figure out how to make a custom heat shield to minimize the temperature .... so many mod's .. so little time
I have the 6637 mod on my f350 and have a filter sitting in my garage for the excursion I just acquired. It is a great mod. The hot air is myth in my opinion I dont see how it is much if any hotter than the factory air box. Unless maybe your idling all day long, but then that shouldnt matter anyway. I showed it to the diesel tech at our local dealership and he liked it enough to put one on his personal pickup. The factory air box is junk!!
