air filter

I have a f250 02 with the zoodad mod and stock exhuast i had the severe duty airfilter on my truck with the filters costing 100$, so i changed out the air box for the 01 style with the 20$ filter. I did not see much of a differance in egts or anything else, but which filter is better for the buck?

I agree with Glenn. The stock air box has leaked for lots of people on here. I just changed my 6637 after being on for a year and didn't really need to change it.

6637 with a filter cover by Pete will work out to be around 40-50 depending on where you get the air filter, but its the best IMO.

i now use the flat square one since i changed out the airbox, but will the 6637 fit in the severe duty airbox if so is it better than the flat square one? if so will change it backout to the round filter and use the 6637 filter.

Search for Part Number 46637... that's the one we're talking about.
Also, go ahead and order two filters for virtually the exact same shipping cost... makes the price per filter less, and Fleetfilter's shipping has always been very fast for me.

Yep, with a 3" plastic pipe coupler or 4" exhaust tubing. The AIS, aka severe duty, intake you had is a really good one, but for less expensive the 6637 is the way to go. You have to remove the stock airbox (both upper and lower parts) to get it in there. Tons of info in the forums about this mod.

You can get the 6637 at NAPA for $25 bucks and then you will want one of Petes covers.
