Glove Box Spring

76 F100 - can anyone tell me how the glove box spring is supposed to attach? Most of the truck is complete and I’m trying to sew up the small things like this. Thanks. Dave

thanks for the diagram but I need to know how the spring attaches to the glove box panel.

Thanks for sending through the link. It makes a bit more sense now but the part seems to be impossible to find.

I’ve been looking for that plastic spring retainer clip with no luck. The rubber bumpers and spring are easy to find . The part that breaks is not available.

The diagram shows the retaining piece as 06066. I found an interior trim fastener in my toolbox that worked perfectly. I’ve searched around quite a bit for the original but no one seems to sell them.

Same applications as the spring (see post #6).

One side has a rubber bumper the other side has a plastic clip that holds the spring. The part number is only for the rubber bumpers and Dennis Carpender has those it’s not the plastic clip that hold the spring.
You can get that spring you can get the rubber bumper but I can’t find the clip which is the only part that seems to break
