48-50 glove box spring

Well I guess I'm needing to see how to put this on. Every which way I try to put this thing on, it pops right off.

Here's the only pic I have of my box. It doesn't show it very clear but maybe its enough for you to get the idea.

If not, maybe one of the guys that has the exploded diagrams will bless this thread with a contribution.

I'm wondering if I didn't have it centered quite right. Is it up on the point? or down in the valley below?

Off the top of my head.....I haven't a clue. I'll take a look tonight when I get home and see what it looks like. I'll try to take a better pic as well

The picture looks like a good example to follow. I think if I could do it anybody can. Keep trying and follow that picture and you will get it right.I did bend mine closer together before I installed it and it was a lot tighter when shut. Next time I am in Charlotte I am going to get a new one at Dennis Carpenters and see how tight it will be when closed.
