I have a 55 F-100 custom cab. Can anyone tell me if the glove box should have a hinge spring, which would hold the door closed. I only have a keyed lock on the door, which is the only way to keep it closed. I don't see a hole in the hinge for the spring. Where would the spring be installed if it should have one?
John's F-Fun Hundred's in Anaheim, CA shows it for a '55. Try them online at: www.f100.com or PST at: (714)-563-F100. According to their website, the part is $1.25 (part # 106068-B). They also have glove box bumpers and *****.
DS59,
I recently purchased the hinge spring from Mid-Fifty, but I'm unsure if and/or where the spring should be installed. I thought maybe since it was a custom cab, that it only had the keyed lock and no hinge spring. THANKS
