CL '66 VIN/Tag Decode
Spotted this one online and am having trouble decoding the door tag due to an over paint.
VIN: F25YR779502 on a '66 F250 2WD (thus the F25 instead of F26).

The year is determined by the last six digits of the vin. The F25 is a 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive. F26 is a 3/4 ton 4x4. Y is 352 2V and it was made in San Jose. H is Sahara beige I think. 71 is ordered out of Los Angeles or Northern California I can't remember off the top of my head. D81 is a deluxe custom cab interior in Cody pattern green

I was on my phone typing on my lunch break not knowing you were already responding. I would not have bothered as it is hard to be on this site by phone. I originally thought H was Holy green but changed my mind to beige and forgot to change the interior. It was all from memory.
