A6 = FoMoCo of Canada Ltd. Western Ford Division, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
6562 = Domestic Special Order number, truck special ordered by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."
*When there is no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, the truck was painted a non standard color per the original purchaser order. This makes it a Domestic Special Order.
Note: Canadian VIN's, codes stamped on the Warranty Plate are specific to Canada thru 1965. 1966/68 are the same as US trucks.
So it would have had a 240 6 cylinder engine factory?
Does it tell if it was a factory step side box?
Stepside is a Chevrolet/GMC, Ford called their version: Flareside.
As you can see, there is no code within the VIN or stamped on the Warranty Plate (thru 1966) that identifies what "back of cab equipment" these trucks were available with.
So, it could have come with a Flareside or Styleside (Fleetside: Chevrolet/GMC) bed, or with a factory installed Flat or Stake Bed.
