Regarding the LEDs, I'm not a huge fan of them and I'm glad they're not standard. The DRLs look weird IMO. I'm waiting for some more aftermarket options to become available. My biggest complaint is some of the body seams and lines on the exterior are terrible and some of the fit and finish on the interior could be better. Also I absolutely hate the plastic fuel door, it feels cheap as hell.
Never had a problem with the Garage Door Opener, but... on my 2000 Lincoln LS, when I held down the Door Unlock on the remote, all the windows went down and the roof opened up, a real plus on a dark color vehicle.
...new truck will be 2018 F350 Lariat CCLB 4X4 Diesel White Gold 5th wheel tow.
The Lincoln LS was basically a Jaguar S-Type and used some of the Jag's electrical architecture. European cars have long had the ability to remotely open and close windows / sunroofs. Our old '95 Mercedes E320 could even do it by physically turning the key in the door lock and holding open or locked. My 2000 VW Jetta would do it. My newer VW's would do it by holding down or up the driver's power window switch when the door was open and the car was off. Our 2002 Mercedes E320 could do it from the remote, etc, etc.
Congrats on your new truck. From the factory, you'll be able to use the remote to lower the front windows. FORScan can give you the ability to close them, too. But the back windows I believe are left out.
In 21 years of driving I've never used my high beams on any vehicle at anytime. Never felt like I needed to. Compared to my 99 Super Duty these quad beams are great, see no reason to waste money on LED.
Perhaps it's you guy's eyes that are the problem? Maybe?

No doubt, I have trouble seeing at night. I'm afraid to get to a point I'm satisfied, I'd blind everyone else. But that doesn't change the fact that the F250's lights were weak. It's the dim setting I didn't like. Probably because it's the first vehicle that I've owned in a long time that doesn't have driving lights.
why isn't the garage door opener visor standard on the XLT and up trim? Thats my only gripe....
Just so you know, the garage door opener is the worst I have ever had. I need to be right in front of the garage door before I can open or close it. I swear it has a range of about 20 feet max.
The thing I don't like about the vehicle garage door openers I've had in the past is they work without the key in the vehicle...and my truck doesn't fit in the garage. I take my opener in the house at night. But maybe I'm just paranoid.

Agreed with the plastic fuel door, I find it doesn't really close flush sometimes. I miss the solid feel of the steel door on previous models.
This is the most bizarre comment I have ever seen posted on this forum...
I have photophobia, I have trouble with UV light and bright lights in general. Especially 5000 to 6000 Kelvin LED light, I can't stand bright white light. Warm White in the 3000 Kelvin range is much more palatable for me. I have to wear polarized glasses anytime I'm outside or I get a massive headache.
All of my customers are installing 5k led overhead lighting so now I have to buy special safety glasses, in that environment it's almost as bad as being outside.
As much as a PITA as that can be, I have excellent night vision. So yes, I have never used high beams.
when did ford stop putting the little bumps on the cruise control buttons. my 05 f-150 has little bumps on the buttons so you can recognize where they are and use the cruise buttons without looking down. my 2017 everything is so smooth you have to look down in order to switch controls. it's the little things. other thing would be a running board that went wheel to wheel. but not the god ugly black extension they have now. full chrome all the way to the rear wheel. or maybe a rear section that can be added that matches the front. but overall i love my truck, and hope it lasts me a long time.

That was Braille for blind people, after extensive research they realized the blind don't drive much.
