Turbo shaft worn?

I've got my turbo pulled apart and the shaft has some slight possible wear marks. Is this normal/okay to use or do I need to order a new shaft?

I just discovered that my center section is cracked, so I'm just going to break down and order a new center and shaft.

Sorry to hear that. What made you pull it apart?

When I purchased the truck I noticed the compressor wheel blades were damaged so I purchased a new compressor wheel from SP. And as usual one thing turned into another and I went a little over board ordering parts for preventative maintenance since I pulled the turbo and had it all apart anyways. A new wheel has turned into:Turbo rebuild kitTurbo center and shaftEBPV delete pedestal Fuel pump and fuel lines(the banjo bolt only had one washer... hence the fuel leak I found while I was pulling the turbo)Glow plugs( had Bosch’s - changing to Motorcraft)Glow plug solenoid (White Rodgers)Valve cover gaskets and wiring harnesses Up pipe donutsY-boot set

Man if you consider keeping your turbo do the Freakify mod, you will be glad you did when it comes to removal.

I probably should’ve went that route but I already have the parts and parts on order to replace the original stuff. I actually didn’t find the turbo too difficult to remove and had it out in an hour and a half. My truck has very little rust so I’m sure that helped too.
