Help, anybody has a turbo center section left over?
Does anybody have a spare turbo cartridge that is good and rebuildable ?
As posted in a prior post, I had blown the oil seal in my turbo.
I got a complete rebuilt kit, took the turbo out to rebuilt and found that the threats in the compressor wheel were stripped out and that wheel was moving somewhat freely on the shaft. Taking it further apart I discovered the thrust bearing frozen solid onto the shaft. It will not come off.
Now I need a new center section with the exhaust side wheel and the shaft.
Can anybody help out with a good rebuildable ?
Thanks
Stefan

UPDATE
ok.. i ended up buying a new exhaust wheel with shaft and a new intake backing plate from SPX Turbo after cutting my old turbo shaft in half to get it out. Did a good cleaning and i have now everything assembled inclusive the new SPX intake wheel and the 360 thrust washer upgrade.
When i took her yesterday on a test drive i did noticed that my turbo whistle is much less than before, but it seems i have a even boost throughout the entire throttle range. The “hole i had at the beginning while taking off is no longer there. Much smoother ride.
I just would have expected the new wheel to be a little louder..
