Yes it is now off balance. The higher the boost you put the turbo under, the harder it's going to be on the bearings, but it's possible the bearings might already be on their way out. Have you checked the shaft for play?
Might not be a bad time to order a rebuild kit while you're waiting on the wheel. Especially if there's any signs of play in the shaft.

Full story
I bought a 66mm turbo kit and the wheel came in with a small bend on one of the fins, probably dropped or something, I was planning on rebuilding my turbo Sunday and putting this on afterwards. Well the wheel was bent and the seller was kind enough to refund me more than what I was expecting. I am going to a diesel drag meet in Epping next Friday and I wanted this done before I go, I am ordering a new wheel as i am typing and it should be in before, so I was just planning on putting the new wheel in friday before I left instead of having to rebuild my whole turbo and put the compressor housing and stuff in. Turbo has no shaft play rn, and should I buy this 150$ ebay wheel or the 250$ WW2?
SPTurbo said for me to heat up the bent fin, break off the bent portion, sand it down and make it smooth and then I should be able to run it for 1-30 days without major issues
Not enough info on the ebay link to be sure as I don't trust pictures. From the ebay description, that wheel is for 94-03 7.3 turbos. The dieselsite wheel is for the wicked wheel 2.
The original wicked wheel was nothing more than the original 94-96 turbo wheel put into a super duty truck. The wicked wheel 2 has more modifications. The ebay one might be just a billet OBS wheel.

I'm the seller to Markus.
That is a D66 wheel from Dieselsite. I bought that and a housing machined to accept the wheel.
Whether its chipped or bent, the integrity of the turbo and its componants, are compromised. Yes, itll work but when she lets go, its sending debris right to the IC and metal dust to the intake of motor....i completely now have no faith in said company if that is what they recommended as a band-aid fix. Can only imagine how well their R/R-Q/A dept is...smh.
