Unlocking Rear doors without using your key possible?

Hi all,

I have a, hopefully, simple question. Is it possible to unlock the rear door without using your key? I have a 2017 CCLB platinum and getting my 1 year old daughter in the car while holding her is a chore. I don't want to dig into my jeans to try to find the key and unlock it. I know the front door handles have sensors but the rear do not. I can unlock the driver side door with the key in my pocket via the proximity sensors but not any others? What I'm doing now is unlocking my front door, opening it then using the manual unlock on the interior of the door to unlock all door locks. Is there something that I'm missing? Thanks in advance for your input.

Jimmy

Use the key pad on the door. Enter your code then hit "4" and it'll unlock all the doors.

On the passenger side, you can touch the front handle and the back unlocks. This doesn't work on the driver's side for safety reasons I guess. Unlike my wife's Volvo, Ford skimped on rear door sensors.

Fob - Hit unlock twice then all doors and tailgate unlocks.
Fob - Hit unlock twice and on second time hold down for 5 seconds then front windows roll down.
Key Pad - Hit combination then driver door unlocks then quickly hit #4 and all doors unlock.
Key Pad - Press last two buttons (7/8) (9/0) simultaneously and all locks.

Touching the front drver or passenger handles will unlock all doors. If not something is wrong. Maybe the child safety locks are on?

It works on the driver's side of my King Ranch just fine.

Go into the advanced vehicle settings in the dash and change unlocking from double to single ( or whatever the wording is). This will unlock all doors with one push on the remote or when touching the driver door handle.

This works sporadically on my Lariat. I haven't figured out what the right combination is that gets the rear driver side passenger door unlocked.

^This. Mine from the factory would only unlock the driver door. Changed this setting & now touching the driver or passenger handle with key in pocket will unlock all 4 doors.

^^^^ This, change the setting. It is a wonder though that the rear door handles are not sensor like the front. Ford will get the feedback and change this, many other manufacturers have done this and loading the vehicle is much easier.
