where is chassis serial number ?

where is chassis serial number ?
Blew out a front coil spring in my 76 F150 4x4 and the parts guy asks for the chassis serial number
Any one know off hand where to look ?

Is he looking for the VIN? That's stamped on the right front frame rail below the firewall if that's what he's after.

Top of pass side rail under the alternator, and there's another one farther back, which is covered by the cab.

This is mikeo0o0o0 plate as a reference. The red underlines part it his serial #.
I believe the Serial # is the "Consecutive unit #". So get it off your dvrs side door edge mounted Warranty Plate.

As Number Dummy has pointed out on numerous occasions, different parts were used during a manufacturing cycle. These are usually denoted as before/after a specific consecutive unit number (numerical sequence of assembly), the last six characters of the VIN.
Details .
Thus, this is a good sign that your parts supplier is taking the appropriate precautions.

last pic is a 2 wheel drive , I have a 4x4 . don't know if that matters . No luck yet will keep looking . Don't need vin number . That's on the door .

yes I have seen Bronco's website also . Some want the chassis serial number , some don't .
