So I found my Workshop manuals for my truck and there is an "inertia Switch". Question is...where the hell is it?
And the fuel pump relay is listed as being in the "Battery Junction Box" I assume this the box with the fuses and relays under the hood at the firewall on the drivers side?

Ok, so looking at that, is the fuel pump actually running when you turn the key on?

Will check when I get home. I like to get all the info I can before I start crawling around the truck.

Update later today!

Call the vendor before they close today. Their 800 number is at the bottom of the instruction manual on the link provided. They have probably ran into this issue before. FWIW the Barro sensor is not a relay and is solid state and can't click. Believe the fuel inertia switch is behind the right kick panel, but can't see it causing this problem by simply pushing on the brake peddle. I too have remote start on my 99 so understand what you are saying.

Well as luck would have it.... she is alive and running again. Replaced the inertia switch and she fired right up. Just glad I found my old workshop manual and found the diagram. I forgot about the i erotica switch. **autocorect! Should be INERTIA switch**. I tried to reset but it wouldn’t hold so replaced and all is wonderful in Wonderland again.

Not sure if the remote starter unit caused it to go or was the tick that pushed it to finally fail or just a coincidence but she runs once again.

Sure enough, one guy had something perverted in his glove box thanks to that. That made for some good reading.

WTH, is in the water out in Peyton? LOL. Glad you figured it out. Are you going to reinstall the remote start?

NOW I know why the new "i phone" costs so much, LOL!

With all the stuff that tries to frustrate us with our trucks some days, we HAVE to keep a sense of humor and laugh when we can

I told this story to my wife about the guy who was so excited to get his truck fixed and proudly posted up an announcement that he found the problem and then went about his day...only to come back and start reading really *weird* stuff in his thread

I about fell off the chair when you said your wife wants one in her car, too.

Glad you found the problem and got it fixed
