What OBII diagnostic equipment do you travel with?

Just curious as to what sort of diagnostic equipment people travel with on this forum? I know of the AE setup but I don't typically travel with a laptop when I'm driving places. Especially when I plan to drive down the Alaskan highway.

I would be against buying a dirt cheap laptop to have on hand but the idea of leaving something like that in the truck all the time, makes me feel like it would be a theft waiting to happen.

Are there any good setups that are recommended for an Android phone these days?

I have the SCT X4 programmer that is left over from my V-10 days. It works great for scanning the codes. But it isn't nearly as cheap as Forscan.

I just bought a fire hd tablet on sale for Black Friday and loaded torque pro on it to leave in the truck all the time now. Got it for $25 so figured if it gets stolen no big deal unlike the cost of most tablets. I also downloaded FORScan but have been using torque pro for everyday use to see what’s going on. If you have a Bluetooth adapter already then it’s an inexpensive way to have something with you all the time.

Torque Pro on an Android for daily driving, and FORScan for troubleshooting.

OBDLink bluetooth OBDII adapter has treated me very well, with the auto power-down feature preserving the battery life over the course of several months.

On road trips I always carry a laptop with AE. You should be able to put it in the cab someplace that can't be seen. Just took it to Wyoming and used it on my father 98 F150 I bought from him.
