exactly and this is just one of many i have seen showing both of those settings just like in that picture.
i guess im chasing a ghost. i'll call it good for now and then test it with a trailer to see if the gain works.
i need to run some wire and relays while the truck is on the lift because i was too stupid to get a truck with upfitter switches.
That's a F150. Their configuration appears to be different.
i have heard at least 10 " ford dealer techs" say on video or typed in a ford forum that there is no difference in the programming for F150 and F250 or any trim level or engine transmission combo when it comes to the brake controller.
Im just going to give it up. It would take a response from a forscan coder and i doubt thats going to happen. I appreciate your input sir. Many thanks
I had the same issue on my 2015 f150 5.0 l v8 lariat edition, only the trailer controller option showed up there was no option for the gain. i was using forscan 2.3.34 I uninstalled it and installed v 2.3.32 that resolved my issue, both options became available and i was able to activate my trailer brake controller and the gain settings worked.
Solved 2016 F150 Trailer Brake Controller No Gain Control in Forscan
Had the same problem, I was using Forscan 2.3.34 beta and only saw the Trailer Brake Control Module, enabled it but the trailer brake controller switch did not appear to do anything. Downloaded Forscan 2.3.32 from https://forscan.org/changes_history.html and installed it, the extended license was still there, did not have to uninstall 2.3.34. Reconnected and the Trailer Brake Controller Gain Setting was there to enable. Enabled, and saved and the gain control appeared on the dash when activating the brake or + - on the switch.
