2017 Brake Controller different programming in ForScan?

OK, so today i installed my brake controller in my 2017 F250 XL work truck 6.2
It was easy to install but im not seeing one of the program options that i have seen on every brake controller programming video on youtube.
See pics of the tool im using and the screen pix from ForScan. I have cleared the DTC for the trlrbm that was present.
I have ran a diagnostic on the trlrbm and it didnt say anything other than 100% done.
I then did a reset of the trlrbm ( saw on a dealer programming video that sometimes you need to do this when you install a module that did not exist prior )
I enabled the trailer brake controller in the IPC module ( NOT IPC as built ).
I have not took the truck off the lift to hook it to a trailer yet as i suspect i did something wrong or something is different in 2017. Its a huge PIA to get the truck on the lift by myself as it just barely fits on my car lift.

Forscan / IPC module / compile does not show any entry for gain. When you push the gain buttons on the controller on the new brake controller, the gain on the DIC changes up and down. When you engage the manual slide switch the DIC says trailer no connected as it should.
Is it possible that im using the wrong brake controller part number for 2017 F250 XL 6.2 and thats why the IPC is not showing the gain control program entry ?
Im wondering if Ford removed the gain entry in the IPC. If they didnt, can anyone tell me where i screwed up please ?

Please see the pictures
there is a pic of the brake controller that i bought from the ford dealer and a pic of my OBDII usb interface. Im using a forscan extended license.
If Ford removed this option in 2017, everyone thats trying to do this needs to know it.

The last picture shows only the trailer brake control module and NO gain control under it

I did just call the dealer to verify that it is indeed the correct part number brake controller. But he could be wrong. Who knows.

I just went into SCCM cell 724-01-01 and changed the turn signal flash from 3 to 5 and that worked as programmed. From that, i can only assume that the hardware and software are working correctly.
Anyone ?

can anyone confirm if these IPC cell values are valid for the 2017 F250 ?
This would be doing it in the IPC\AsBuilt

I got these values from here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=815852466

I took the easy route and used the NON-As-Built IPC configuration option in FORScan and set to Trailer Brake Control Module to ENABLE. Worked perfectly.

Part #HC3Z-19H332-AA
.

UPDATE: I just noticed you have a screenshot of this menu as well but I wonder why some options are listed multiple times. I also notice that you have a different part # than mine.

i was told today by the dealer that your part number was the retail version of the part number i used. the 2C006 is identical in all ways ( according to the dealer ) except is priced at wholesale.
If you look at the pics, you will see that i have activated the TBM in IPC module ( not the ipc as built ) and it does not show the trailer brake controller gain option. Thats why im asking for help.
After a bunch of reading, the only way you see that text based system to use in the modules that are not As Built, is the coders of forscan put those text based options in there when they learn what they are so you can do it without going into the as built modules.
So i may have to go into the as built IPC and change it there. thats why i posted the link to the data sheet showing those cell values in IPC As Built. i was just hoping that i was doing something wrong but it may be that there is no text based link to convert the hex values in the as built file yet.
I really dont know and thats why im looking for someone that knows forscan. Im a new first time ford owner and a first time forscan user. that makes me double stupid about this.

i think the double entries you are seeing is me not clearing the previous screen and then going back in there. if you do it from a fresh start, there are no duplications.
the dealer told me that they install the 2C006 part in any controller that they add at the dealership and it works perfectly every time. but he said he only knew his way around the ford ids system and did not know forscan.

i have posted this info on the forscan forum but have not had any responses yet. i may never get the answer.
i will go into the IPC as built file and look at those cells and see if there is a correlation to the cell info i found. maybe gain is already enabled in the as built file.

damn, sorry, i just noticed that you do not have a gain value to set either. now im more confused. some people seem to have the gain value enable option and some do not. i have also seen, on youtube, a ford truck that only showed the gain value and not the brake controller. this is crazy.
it appears that you have a 2017 6.2 also

So to be clear, what you are not seeing on your IPC is this pop-up when you press the TBC +/- buttons?

no im absolutely seeing the gain on the IPC change with the +/- buttons. it shows trailer not connected and goes up and down with the gain buttons on the controller.
but every video that ive watched and the threads that i have read say that there are 2 options to change
1. enable trailer brake controller
2. enable trailer brake controller gain.

So i just assumed that im doing something wrong or there is no hex translation yet for my as built IPC.

and thanks for the responses from you guys. i need all the help i can get.
Im just trying to do it the right way and not screw something up.

Got it. I only made the one change via the NON-As-Built IPC configuration option. Trailer Brake Controller Module --> Enabled
