Does anyone know if it's possible for the AVS low profile vent visors for the 17 screw F150 to fit on the screw F250? Reason I'm asking is I have only found color matched ones offered for the F150. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the opinions, fellas!
I've had the Weathertech in channels in 3 trucks and after reading through this thread just ordered them again for the 18.
I was contemplating tape ons, but wussed out on bonding to paint that I cannot fix myself... I can replace stretched out weatherstripping myself.
I bought a set last year when I purchased the truck. They look great but both of the front ones have come loose. The original tape did not hold and I replaced the tape with 3m double sided tape and that came loose. The last time it came loose on the driver front it broke before I had a chance to stop. So I’m switching to the in-channel ones. Hopefully i will have better luck.
I tried 2 different brands of in channel vent visors and couldn't get them to work. Had to return them both. Here are some pics of the AVS visors in question and by the way they don't attach to the paint, they attach to the trim. So far so good after about 3 months.
I noticed that AVS' quality has gone downhill between the last two sets I bought. The first set was nice and thick, very stiff. The last set I bought was very thin. Too thin for my liking, but they have held up well for 2 years so far.

I ordered a set and the front part would not fit behind the mirror molding as shown in the instructions, and the visor on the rear doors extended about 2 inches past the molding and adhered on the paint instead of the molding. They also had rough edges where they had been grounde down and the adhesive was screwed up on a couple of them. I returned them and got a refund. Would you mind taking a close-up picture of the front one where it sits behind the mirror molding, and also the back part of the rear visor?? Maybe I just got a bad set!?
VA, you didn't get a bad set as I ran into the same problem as you but after 2 sets of in channel failed I was determined to make these fit because I liked the way they looked. I had to use a Dremel tool to manipulate the end that went under the mirror because it made the mirror stick out to far. The modification was fairly straight forward once I lined up the visor on the rubber door trim. And you're right, while the majority of the visor sticks to the trim, a small tab adheres to the paint on each end to give it the look it has of a full length visor. Very poor design on this product but I was able to make it work after repeated failures of other products, and I apologize because I should've mentioned in my previous post that I had to modify the product for correct fitment.
