If You've Painted Your Truck Before, How much Did it Cost?

My 1993 F350 Crew Cab SRW Long Bed is a little worn down on the paint. I'm just curious....for all those that have painted their trucks:

How much did you pay for to have the entire truck painted? Nothing Fancy or show/competition quality, but a color matched paint job?

Any pictures to show how your truck turned out? It would be great if there were before and after shots.

I just want to be prepared for the pocket book when I do some estimating.

What else should I look out for? Thanks for your feedback.

i guess i wont be much help, i did mine myself in autobody school so the only cost was the $650 for paint.

for a good color change though, here you'd be looking at atleast $5k upwords.

before

after..well this is 3 years after but you get the idea haha

Wow, that's an amazing paint job and color!! In addition, you're using is for real tough jobs. Good Job. Yeah, I figured that it would be around $2 - 5 K to do a big truck like mine.

2-5 k normally around here depending on the quality your looking for as the cost is in the "prepwork" if there isnt any rust or many dents to contend with.. I do all my own trucks and they are usually black (which allows ease of color match using cheaper single stage paint) so I usually come out with less than 1k into all paint and body .....

materials have gone out the roof lately, you can figure around 800-1000 just for materials alone. any dents, rust, etc will be more time, therefore more money. there are places around here that are extra cheap, but those paint jobs usually dont last more than a few months before they flake off. If you can do any of the prep work, that is money saved. if doing a color change you need to decide how far you are going with it, under hood, door jambs, etc. with a straight, rust free body i would figure around 2k-2500 for a simple paint job. color change including the jambs and under hood more like 3500. this is for a basic bc/cc job. you could single stage it and maybe save a few hundred dollars, just make sure the prep work is done properly. the key to any paint job is in the prep work.
