Hi Guys,
The valley pan drain plug is giving me problems.
Mine rounded out slightly removing it. Also it has a hole thru it and I don't think that its supposed to?
I'm struggling to find a new one. Ford Dealer said that Ford has discontinued making it?
Does anyone know where I can buy it? Did they really discontinue it or did they replace it with a different part number cause they upgraded the part?
It's supposed to have the hole through it, yes. That's a drain hole for water, oil etc. that gets trapped in the valley pan - make sure that hole, and the passage under it is clear.
So R&D doesn't have any either.
Anybody else have any luck getting a new one?
I believe this is the Motorcraft number that has been discontinued - E3TZ9A450A.
That’s a great idea. The reason we are working on the engine is because we are installing a new turbo and turbo kit from them.
Thanks guys!

Anyone know where I can order a Valley Drain plug?
Or a part number??? Maybe IH part #?
Anyone have any ideas?
How about an IH part number?
MacRobb - any luck?
i know you want one but is it really that important to have in. Doesn’t a bigger drain hole just drain a lot faster or does it help hold down the pan as well?
I found one. It's used, dirty, but not stripped or anything.
PM me if you are interested.

Yeah, it holds down the pan as well, and I'm pretty sure that you'd get leakage around the valley pan hole without it, into the oil. Not good.
