How do I drain a 6r140w transmission. There is no drain plug

Remove the pan or maybe a mityvac

Drop the pan. Same as lots of Ford transmissions ... like the 4R75 on my 2005 F-150. No drain plug. I actually replaced my F-150 4R75 pan with an aftermarket one with a plug. Because I was doing this, I drilled a small hole into the bottom of my factory pan. Made draining it pretty easy.

B&M B&M
and others make a plug to install into pans. So, you can convert your factory pan into one with a drain plug.

Drop the pan the old way and then install BC3Z-7A194-B pan in its place for future service.

Use a transfer pump through the dipstick tube and pump out the transmission fluid. Makes dropping the pan much easier and cleaner.

It is my understanding the pan gasket is reusable.
