On my 17 F250 I lowered air pressure to 55psi (from 65 front, 60 rear as received from the dealer) and no TPMS warnings so far - very happy about this! I'm excited to drive her this week more to see how much of a difference this will make!
On my 17 F250, I found that when I dropped below 53 psi I got an alarm. What was odd is that I got the alarm after 45 miles, or after app a hour's drive. I'm now running at 55 psi, which is still to high for a truck that's not carrying a load. I can see the centers wearing on my rear tires.
My previous truck was an 08 Ram with a Cummins. The Ram had a low load setting, which allowed operation at lower tire air pressures. On that truck, 65 psi seemed optimum for the fronts and 45 worked best on the rear when not carrying a load. I always aired up the rears appropriately when hauling or towing. And when I had my Boss V plow on, I'd run the fronts at 70 psi.
