El corrupto lol... Pinche govierno no se aliviana. If it smells like raw fuel from the exhaust, you might need new injectors or buy a shim kit amd save yourself some serious dough, some dont recomend it it but if your in a tough financial rut shimming might be your answer.
Heres the one I bough https://www.ebay.com/itm/94-03-7-3L-...pe!79821!US!-1
I checked out your link and sounds nice especially price compared to NEW injectors. BUT, they talk about hard starting, rough idle, smoke, etc. My truck starts right up and idles smooth always with no noticeable smoke. YES, $$$$$ is a big problem for me. Lets see what others have to say. MIL GRACIAS
People also say exhaust smells better after shimming.
Why? Armature clearance too tight retards the timing and fuel is not completely burned off. This also affect MPG
Did you ever check the fuel mileage with the chip removed? Not the simplest job to remove it but at $4 per gallon it's probably worth it. Same for checking your compression, when faced with a difficult problem it's always best to go back to the basics.
I don’t recommend shimming the armature plate. It a bandaid that will get you by but the problem come when you do get the funds to rebuild them it to late. The poppet valve will most likely be worn to far into the injector body that it’s un-repairable and at this point your cost has almost doubled. IMO shims are to get you a few weeks, not months or years.
SOOOOO to shim or not to shim? Is it worth the money and will it help? How tricky / difficult is removing all injectors, ultrasound cleaning, inspection ( can you tell by looking or is there a test ? ) and aprox cost. Thanks to all and BTW any idea what my truck might be worth in USA ? 1997 F350, CCLB, 4x4, auto tran, 2nd owner (texas truck), NEVER WORKED, less than 0 rust, 285K, XLT, etc.

I am going to shim mine. Armature has four screws, no need to pop injectors out. I don't have the money for IC and Stage 1s. Single dad and my mod money just paid for braces for my twins.
Around here it could fetch 6-15k depending on who wants it bad enough. Bought my 95 for 6k with 305k miles on it. Its a southern truck but used up north a bit with some minor rust.

The solenoid has 4 screws the armature has only one weird looking torx screw just FYI.
BTW if you have armature clearance issue you would have starting troubles. Hard starts and after it does fire the injectors that have clearance issue wouldn’t fire till it warmed up and thinned the oil and those injectors would start firing
well, no hard starting problems. Starts right up, runs smooth right away, etc. could shimming do any harm or be worse than now? Are used injectors an option? How can you be sure of quality / performance on used injectors? How much do new ones cost?
you can check the clearance for free, if all at .004 then you might have an injector issue
if all at .002 then its out of spec and could make it smell better
75 dollar possible bandaid fix that could last many more miles and make your injectors useless for rebuild
