I did some searching on this but did not find a specific fix for this. My plastic door panels on my 1997 F350 rattle/squeak over bumps. They are not loose, though. The rattle is more of a plastic noise. All of my door panels are fastened to the door using metal screws. This appears to be the factory method on this model. I have tightened the screws up, which seems to make it slightly worse, and loosed them which does not help. There is nothing metal rattling. It sounds like the plastic is kind of in a bind and any slight bump makes it react. The sound is coming from around the door speaker which has a plastic panel over it. I popped that out and drove to work today to see if it was the speaker cover that was making the noise. No difference. It could be the rubber tubing rubbing against the metal but it's hard to tell from the driver's side. The noise is kind of like a squeak, almost.
Before you ask, the truck just had new front coil springs replaced and new tires added. I have Rancho 9000 shocks at all four corners. The truck rides very quiet, except for this plastic noise, and there is very little road noise or wind noise. All of the doors fit tight and the door hinges have no play in them. The dash does rattle a little but only on larger bumps. The mount is not broken under the dash on the passenger side. My last truck had that problem but not this one.
Any ideas on how to fix or treat this squeak rattle? It's always had it and the driver's side does it some, too. I notice it is worse if I am resting my arm on the driver's side door arm rest. Other than this noise, the truck would be super quiet.
I would pull the door panel off If you have not done that yet. Maybe try taping a piece of 1/4 inch foam or something soft on the inside of the panel, where you suspect its rattling.

I had that thought but I'm glad you mentioned it. It's a weird noise.
The best thing is to pull the door panel off and make sure nothing is broken or loose. There are a few plastic rivets in addition to the screws and more often than not when the panels are reinstalled folks don't get those lined up with the holes in the door and they end up squished and broken. There are lots of potential culprits, and all you can do is take a look and go from there.
I ended up installing foam along the perimeter of the door trim and that cured a lot of the noises I had.
I still have a loud squeak sometimes from my drivers side door that I have yet to figure out as it is very intermittent.
I have a new to me,94 f150 long bed, reg cab with 88k. Very quiet riding excepts for a door squeak also. I kinda sorta thought my squeak was coming from and around the lock and window switch. BTW, side note on my second 150 I lined the rear tank straps with a roll up kids snow sled, I bet that would work pretty ok as a buffer better the metal door and door skin.
You sure its the door panel? The edge of the dash panel rubbing the A-Pillar trim has always been a spot of a squeeking sound. They even had a TSB to fix it.

No, I'm not sure, but I will check! Thanks for the tip!
I don't think that is the origin of my noise. Mine is definitely in the area around the speaker cover in the door. It's more of a rattle than a squeak. I'm going to carefully take everything off the door and see if anything is loose.
Checked out the trouble spot indicated in the TSB and it is not the source of my squeak as the dash has already been trimmed and is not making any contact in that area. Alas...
Squeak cured! Turns out the squeak I have been hunting was coming from the upper seat belt attaching point. Took the cover off and added a small amount of lubricant to the swivel and no more noise.
Glad you found it. I have been going around my truck with felt tape and adding it to all the points where things rub together, like the top of the door panel where it hides the mirror bolts. That has helped plenty of random noises go away.
