Well I mulled it over last night and decided to buy the HR LEDs.....bought everything. I thought about all angles and even considered turning down the delivery of my 17 and reordering an 18 since I hear you can buy the LEDs ala carte. So even if I don't like these LEDs I am out about $400 and then I can wait until the OEM conversion gets a solid fix.
Called the dealer today and delivery moved to 10/27 which is OK since I am out of town on business all week anyway. Thanks to those on this thread for helping me make my decision.
Tuned in on this...I looked at those lights on ebay and they do not come with the LED Ballast, which I am thinking you probably need. Hurry up and do this by next Saturday before I take delivery
the ballast is in the harness. Between the harness and the LED lights on ebay (from fairway ford) that's all that is needed.
Won't have it done by next week though, but probably by Christmas.
I got the HR headlight kit installed, and I'm very happy with the results. The light pattern is great and the increased visibility is nice. Happy enough that I ordered the fog kit from HR now and I also ordered a Xpel headlight and fog light protective film kit I will add that the color temp of the light is so much better, doesn't look like it's got headlights from the past anymore.
You are going to love the fogs. Plus it’s a much easier installation.
Wow, your statement was correct. I love the fogs. The fogs fill in what little “dark spots” were there from the headlights (they aren’t actually dark, rather just areas that aren’t illuminated as well) and blends it all together. This is the brightest setup I’ve had to date, and I haven’t been flashed once. Even on pitch black county backroads, going over hills, etc.. I was flashed about 5 times total with the halogens, time will tell if these get me flashed. When I stand out in front of the truck, I have to bend really low before the light gets to be too much, aka Mario in his go kart is about the only person I’d appear to blind. For anyone who does the headlights, do the fogs too, it’s a very pleasing and enjoyable experience driving at night. All of that being said, I’m looking through a tinted windshield too. Very happy, and it just looks like it should aesthetically.

are you sure about the ballast in the harness statement? I haven't researched this harness yet, but I know in the past when I converted my 2015 F150 XLT halogens to OEM LED I needed the ballasts still.
For anyone who is spending 2,000+ dollars on oem leds or if you just want to protect your factory halogen housings like me, Xpel makes a headlight/fog light protection kit. It’s essentially a fairly thick film that adheres to the lenses of your headlights and fog lights and protects them from rock chips, road debris, etc. I noticed a chip in on of my headlights already and I haven’t even owned it for 6 months. Just thought I’d share in case anyone is interested
Any reviews on the reverse lights with the Blind Spot Information System? Looking for brighter reverse bulb to replace halogen on 2017 F250 with Blis system.

I emailed Retro Customz and confirmed there is NO ballast in the harnesses. Ballasts are required for each headlight to control the high and low beams, and the ones on fairway ford have no ballasts. They are approx $114 per side ($228 for both driver and passenger headlights)
Anyone have order issues with Headlight Revolution? I ordered 10 days ago. Status is still "awaiting shipment". Not one update or notice from them.
Emailed them via their chat line this morning, but they're 3 hours behind in time zones so I'll see if I get an answer today. If not, I'll contact the credit card company and take another direction.
I received a reply from Headlight Revolution. Apparently the item was out of stock. They say that more just came in today and they'd expedite the shipping. Which as it turns out means UPS Surepost (USPS Priority Mail).
I guess I won't bitch much, but it seems like 10 days is a long time for them to just let it ride without telling a customer that they don't even have the item ordered. That's a little sluggish in this day & age.

Funny, "we were out of stock and new ones just came in today" seems to be their standard line. I ordered them about six weeks ago. I paid $40 for overnight freight because I was super short on time to get them installed before a hunting trip. Three days later, my order still said awaiting shipment. I sent them an email and got the EXACT same line.
