on the video the small alien head is used to adjust the builds if they are not straight up and down in the housing after in. A lot of guys are saying they removed battery and some other stuff and did not take the grill and the light housing out. I'm sure you can find that info on here somewhere. I'm just waiting for mine to come in. I went with Vanguish because they gave the better discount

I'll throw this one in for reference. The light doesn't scatter near as much as pictures show, and the turns signals are by no means obscured. To the naked eye, they look great.

ahhhh got it! Thanks bud! Now? Has anyone had to really adjust after install with the Allen wrench? Gonna tackle this tomorrow morning with a small window of time before work, and would hate to have to go back and forth.

Mine lined up perfectly with no adjustment required.

Mine lined up perfectly also. No need for the allen wrench...it's just there as a "just in case".

I agree with Redrockerstl55, really cool picture, possibly a wallpaper on the work desktop lol. I just ordered my headlight kit from headlight revolution. I was dead set on upgrading to the OEM led headlights down the road (and I still might eventually), but the nail in the coffin for me was seeing a 17 in person with the led headlight bulbs yesterday morning. I was sitting in the lot at work and saw a brand new 17 going around the round-a-bout and it looked fantastic with the led conversion. The way the light fills the entire housing gives the look of the C-shaped leds that the oem led headlights have. Plus I need better night vision with the tinted windshield.

I take delivery of my F350 Lariat next week. I really want LEDs and in retrospect I should have ordered them but I really did not want the Sun Roof at the time. Anyway, I am following this thread and the OEM LED conversion thread. I am thinking this is the way to go for around $700 compared to over $2K.

Anybody have any further comments or reviews on these from HR?

Thanks

Mine came in, just haven't had time to install them with 12 hour work days. I will be installing mine tomorrow before heading to the Ozarks so I'll probably post a installation/review of the lights late tomorrow night since I'll get to drive in the dark for 3+ hours. I have a feeling I will order the mathching HR fogs before too long. Btw, enjoy your new truck!!

It seems like all of us that did the HR conversion are satisfied. I realized that one of my 4 bulbs wasn't properly aligned, so I pulled both assemblies to make sure they were all correct. I originally had trouble accessing the 4th headlight bolt (above bumper), so I installed the bulbs without removing the entire housing. This time, I dropped the bumper a little by loosening 12 bolts (took 2 mins max.) which made everything a lot easier. While I haven't done a ton of nighttime driving since adjusting them, I will say that the high beams don't appear to be much of an improvement over the lows, but the new lows are better than the factory highs.

I also swapped out the fogs which I love. I purchased the switchback turn sigs so that I could get rid of the amber bulb (they illuminate amber when activated), but haven't installed them yet as it appears to be much more involved than just plug and play.

I spoke with the owner of Retro Customs, who sells the LED headlight harness to convert Halogen to the factory LEDs. He said there are two harnesses (Around $365 total) and for the 6.7 engines, no splicing is needed as there is a key-on wire they tap to get power. For the 6.2, there are two splices needed to find a key-on power source - he mentioned they never did the install on a 6.2 truck and that if I do it please report back where I get the power from.

The lights are for sale for $1700 on ebay, so for $2000, you can get OEM LED's on the front. Of course, it's cheaper to get it from Ford but like you I won't own a sunroof on a truck.

Will be doing this conversion soon.

Tuned in on this...I looked at those lights on ebay and they do not come with the LED Ballast, which I am thinking you probably need. Hurry up and do this by next Saturday before I take delivery

Has anyone done the reverse light with the bliss system? Are the reverse light worth it?
