My F250 stop about 20 min of use, Mechanic said change fuel filters and I did it. Was a big change but after about 15 min star to shaking and them stop. I have to wait about 15 min and star normally but the cycle repeat again and again. Any ideas?
Thanks Richard, but my hight pressure oil pump is new. I want to find out if a diesel pump is electrical and can be overheated and can be the cause to stop sudendly. Like I said after about 20 min runs normally but the cycle repeated again and again.
What year is it? If it's a 05+ then hpop failure is extremely rare. If its an 03-04 and you got the pump from Ford.... Could still be the pump. As I said, it is most likely a leak.

EDT: there is a electronic fuel pump module but they seem to work or not and failure is rare (it's on the fuel rail). You issue is classic of a high pressure oil leak.
Get a Bluetooth elm327 and torque pro for your phone and get some live data during failure. I am betting your icp and IPR will drop off when it fails
EDT2: post your location as there may be someone in town who can help
EDT3: be sure you are using only motorcraft filters and post a pic of your oil filter cap... If it's aftermarket is can cause engine damage
You may have blown top injector seals or a leaking o-ring on top of the discharge tube on the HPOP. The only way to tell is if you use the air through the IPR or the ICP sensor hole.
Since they are easy to do, I would verify the ICP pressure, ICP volts, and IPR% duty cycle (and check for bubbles in the fuel) before doing more involved testing. Get the ICP and IPR data when cranking - after it shuts down and won't re-start.
