TPMS Message

I know there have been threads on this in the post, but I can not find any answers to fit my problem. I know it is illegal or whatnot to disable tpms, but I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the actual message on the instrument cluster. I don't care if the light is on but the message is really starting to bother me. Anyone know how to turn off the message? My truck is the STX model if that makes a difference.

Pumping the tires up to a decent air pressure makes the message go off

Thanks

Thanks, but I didn't explain the problem fully. The sensors are GONE. The previous owner swapped tires I guess. I didn't think they came stock with 20 inches so the sensors are missing. How rxspensive to replace or can I just make the message go away and keep the light on?

You cannot make the message go away. You can add the sensors back into the wheels, but if you do, try and determine if you have a 4 or 5 wheel TPMS. If it's a 5 then you need one for the spare tire.

buy some on e-bay or amazon. They are not much. I get about 35 out of them when I sell to shops.

The tire pressure on my 2011 F150 is at the proper PSI, but I've been getting the warning for about a year. Kinda got used to it....

$150 or so you should be able to get new sensors and have them installed.

I had a sensor go bad this spring, had it replaced the next day as I can't stand any lights being on. Personal preference though.

I bought the sensors on ebay for my truck. They came from China and took a month to get here, but only cost $15. each with free shipping. Dealer wanted $70. each.

Hope they work. The tire installation guys will tell you there is a high fail rate for those sensors and when they fail you pay to break the tire down, replace the sensor, then balance it again. Make absolutely sure they test them before taking your tires off. Better yet go in with them now in case any are no good so this way you have time to replace them.

they been working for a couple months now. I wouldn't normally buy parts from China, but the price was worth taking the risk.
