I need a little help please. I have a new 2015 f250sc coming in next week. I"m getting bigger tires & wheel right away for summer use only ( will run stock ones in winter ) I have picked out 325/65/18 nittos but they are D rated not E. I'm not going to haul anything heavy so that won't be a problem. Is it ok to run them without sensors? I know light will be on I can live with that. Or can you disconect it? Or I don't mind buying new wheel sensors for the new wheels/tires but will I have to reprogram the computer for the D rated max air 50psi and then re-program back when I put the stock wheel/tires on in the winter? Does any of this affect the running of the truck? Like if I was to not install sensors in the new wheel/tires? Thanks for any help!! Tim
I thought it only measured for a sensor reading outside the average of all of them. ie set all the tires at 55psi and the light only comes one when one of them drops down below a certain range?
When I had my 285 duratracks put on they told me if the tps light comes on to bring it back and they will re-learn the sensors. I really don't believe tire shop clowns since he didn't look a day over 16.
I think you are correct about the avg pressure. I keep my E range duratracks at 70 in the rear and 75 in the front.
