Tire Pressure Monitering System

Just took about a 100 mile ride and found my TPMS light on, both coming and going. I don't use my truck every day but have used it several times since the lift, wheels & tires were installed. Haven't noticed the light before now. Obviously the light is on because there are no sensors in the aftermarket setup. Anyone know why it would take so long (approx 1 month)? I didn't even realize my truck had TPMS, thought it was an option. Anyone ever had the sensors moved to aftermarket wheels? The book gives no indication of disabling TPMS, can it be done? Thx.

Can't be done. Mine occasionally goes off but not for long. I am sure there is a way too program the computer at the dealer but they will not do it because I believe it is a law to have the TPMS. You could always pull the bulb on the back of the cluster.

Aftermarket wheels pretty much come with the TPMS sensor guide. Are you sure the tires are inflated properly?

I had to put the straps in my aftermarket wheels. My light came on within 50 miles of putting on the new rims though. I dont know why it took so long for your light to come on
