I'm debating on my next purchase on my E99. But I'm not sure if there's an order to doing this? Can I get away with slightly larger injectors before i uprgrade the turbo? And if so will a wicked wheel help with a boost fooler? Or should the trans be built before doing any of the above? Not looking for anything more than 350hp. I'd say the truck sits around maybe 310hp as of now. Just trying to see what I can get away with, while staying in safe boundaries!
What about your air intake? Our transmission is on the edge with stock power... so there's that. Bigger sticks need tuning... so add the price of a chip to the injectors.
I upgraded air in, through, and out; upgraded to a T500 to improve ICP, put in an HD4R100, and had my chip and gauges before I upped the injectors. A bent driveline and a spun bearing in the rear convinced me to later install traction bars - but I went with 160/100 injectors for 400 HP.
It's easy to overlook what gets whacked when you smack the ponies with the whip.

im ordering an S&B soon and automeeter gauges. I have a hydra tuned by Full Force. But what is a T500? I'm thinking about doing 160/80 injectors. But I'm on the line here of doing trans first or injectors, I'm just wanted to play it safe and see what route everyone else has took.
If you put 160/80 injectors in and upgrade the turbo, you will need a new transmission within a few weeks or months depending on your driving style. These transmissions can stand up to a stock engine very well for many hundreds of thousands of miles, but when you start adding extra power, things go downhill quick.
I believe the e99 has the original wicked wheel, which spins up quickly and doesn't suffer from turbo stall. But the newer wheels (WW-2 and others) are supposed to flow a lot more air, whereas the WW1 runs out of air at the top.
That's been my experience so far, but I'm not an expert
