Alrighy guys need a little advice, long story but had my turbo an pedastal off, I found the butterfly in the turbine housing was stuck stuck, so i kinda got some ideas here and there, and here's what I did.
Removed butterfly and just bolted the hole with high temp sealant and 1/2" bolt. On the pedestal I took the guts out plugged the rod hole and cut the rod where the piston just barely let the aluminum cap set all the way. Then just plugged the wires back in an off we went.
My question is after doing more reading am I going to damage the turbo?
Deleting the EBFV is common and won't hurt anything as long as there are no restrictions. The main down side is if you live in a cold weather climate is extended warm up time.

I'm pretty sure this is wrong. Isn't the big piston supposed to be pushed in past both holes inside the bore? I thought that normal operation allowed low pressure engine oil to flood the bore, and when the valve is to be actuated the solenoid closes the drain, allowing pressure to build and push the piston deeper, opening the butterfly.
