It's summer time and hot inside the truck when i get in it in the morning. The engine is "cold" meaning first time it cranked in the morning. (engine is not at running temp).
Start engine and turn on AC. Compressor kicks in and air gets cold. After about 20-30 seconds the compressor cuts off and air keeps blowing but not cold anymore.
Put the truck in reverse and back out of the driveway, still no compressor.
Put the truck in drive and move forward and the compressor comes back on and i get cold air again.
Will only do this when the engine is "cold". Works fine when at normal temp. I had a new compressor w/clutch and evaporator installed @$1000.
Wondering if there is a sensor or something. Why is the PCM turning off the compressor?
