...but only at speed. The compressor also does not seem to cycle. Last evening after returning from a trip, I left the rig running with the AC on and cool, but the compressor never cycled. The lines at the dryer were cool and covered with condensation, as was the back of the compressor where the low pressure line enters, but the compressor never cycled.
If i understand you correctly, its only cold when you are moving, when stopped it gets warm? Check to be sure your radiator and all your coolers in the front are clean between the fins, my truck did the same thing, it would only be cold while moving, after i cleaned out my radiator, intercooler, and sprayed out the condensor its cold all the time.
Thanx for the suggestion John. Nope all is clean. I meticulously cleaned all...as well as spent a couple hours or more straightening every bent fin...yeah, I'm a bit obsessive/compulsive.
I'm thinking I'll pick up one more can of 134 today, and give it a try.
Thanx Med, but I think I reached a point of overcharging...the low-side gauge reached west of 70lbs and suddenly things weren't cooling any longer. I think I reached a limit where the "safety factor" was kicking in and releasing the clutch, then as soon as the pressure dropped below the "high limit", the clutch was engaging again. I think...
