So it's an 03, known for the problems. I would turn the key and get nothing. Just a click. I jumped the starter and started it but it stalled and died. No start again. It wouldn't start hot.
Next, I changed the filters. All motorcraft oem (had a tall cap for the oil previously) then I added more diesel fuel. It started jumping the cable and now it won't start jumping it.
I replaced the start to find out it didn't help anything. 175$ down the toilet. I checked fuses, replaced all the starter ones. Good batteries, the inertia switch should be fine, pressed on button. I have water in fuel light and check engine. Gonna use my buddies code scanner to read them this weekend. But I unplugged the center pcm connector and it would crank from the key..getting somewhere now. Still no start
Tried jumping and nothing. Did the bubble test and it seemed fine. Any ideas what It could be, I will update this thread when I read the codes. I was thinking icp and ipr but not sure. Thank you
Sounds like you have a sensor shorted. Wish I was home to find the pinout for the center PCM connector. But check your fan wiring and unhook your other sensors like MAP EBP ICP Maf etc

I am on vaca at the moment, but should I unplug the sensors 1 by 1 and check it?
Use the search function in this forum and look for the thread "Driveway bulletproof 6.0" in post#145 has a few pinouts posted by Yahiko that will help identify what that plug contains. The middle connector is c1381c.
Ok so I uploaded the 2003 diagrams and the location guide.
The center one is c and that has most of the engine sensors on it.
Time to start looking at connectors and the harness for chafing and wire damage.
On vacation, but I will search the truck for wires that look messed up and stuff like that. May sound dumb now but I'm not sure what Pinout means, I'm guessing it's where the connectoEs go to right, lol. Thank you guys for the help
I figured that but wanted to be positive, I forgot what forum I saw this on but he said if you have this problem you unplug center PCM, he had an ICP issue. I'll let you know what the codes say but I'm betting on the ICP and IPR.
