I have this 6.0l that wont start. It stalled going down the road. It'll crank but won't start. I'm out of ideas and any help is appreciated. It'll probably be towed to the dealer soon. Here is where i've gotten so far.
Batteries are only a couple months and have been charged and tested individually and are good.
RPMs- 190 ish
Fuel pressure is 57 PSI ( it passed the Bubble test also)
Both filters are new.
ICP voltage is 1.90 at 1500 PSI
IPR is 85% when cranking. has been replaced during testing because of damage to the screen and crap inside of it. ( brought the pressure up to 1800 PSI)
Inj timing is 7 Degrees.
FICM V is battery voltage
FICM L is battery voltage
FICM M is 48/ 47.5 on the scanner. ( i checked it while cranking at the test port at the back, also passed)
FICM Sync is a yes (Also i've tried a used one).
Sync is a yes.
Intake is drawing lots of air, on occasion the van does try to fire.
Each injector has been individually unplugged, and i tried starting the vehicle in case they shorted the FICM
I've also unplugged the glow plug control modual, Exhaust back pressure and mass air.
I've vissible looked over the injector harness for chaffing and there is none.
If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.
Is the fuel bowl filling up quickly (pull secondary fuel filter and turn key on without cranking)?
Do you have a spare FICM to try (or can you borrow one)?
Its a snap on ethos plus. with the 2015 updates. ya the fuel bowl fills quickly.
I forgot to mention that i replaced both filters, because i cut the old ones open to inspect for junk. they where clean.
I new where there was a van that had been ran hot and siezed so i did try that FICM.
Reset the inertia switch?
Does it have a security system?
Checked compression?
Inertia switch is reset, it doesn't have a security system. compression hasn't been checked but it stalled as if you shut the key off, doesn't sound like low compression when being cranked.
i have my 5v refrence
Check the reading for pulse width... it will fire if it's giving fuel as long as everything else is good. No fuel commanded, most likely a sensor issue is holding it up. If it is commanding fuel, then that's a different path.
You've checked lots of stuff... but not to see if it's commanding fuel.

Replace your IPR valve in order to verify a known good IPR valve would be the first step. On an E-Series van, access to it is way easier than a pickup.
