Hello, thanks for the flowers. The Shovel is cool. I still have my two Shovels too. I'm not giving them away either. I was in Sturgis in 1990, and all those moments were awesome too.
Best regards, Bernd 61 HD
After we finally got a good blizzard going here in the Sierra Nevada a few weeks ago... made for a long 21hr day, had to go drive the long way around due to the road heading directly S towards home, closed with hundreds of trees down blocking passage...ugh, the majority of the drive was in 4wd and about 12-15 mph or less when visibility dropped to zero. I have to say, the Toyo M655's are SPECTACULAR in this stuff, I did actually use the "slippery" mode (I forget what it is) instead of the deep sand/snow mode which I normally run in, only issue I have, is the Ford engineering dork that decided to put a ledge/shelf right under the wipers... during heavy snow it causes all the wiper motion going down to accumulate big piles of snow below and under the wiper blades, had to stop quite a few times just to clear the snow so the wipers would work, along with breaking the ice accumulation off of them.
initial staging less than 5 hrs later loaded up only to find out my drive home just tripled in time couldn't see jack most of the time, could see the shadows enough to stay in the middle, kind of
Absolute FACT! I got spoiled with the last few winters, especially winter 22/23, this winter, not so much, had some early snows, then Jan 70* temps..?! Hopefully March will go out like a lion?!
