weatherstripping

I'm getting ready for paint... finishing up little things... for bear claw latches... I haven't installed the pin in the door jams for the latches... wondering about weatherstripping... I don't think I want to install first, but how do I know exactly where to drill for the pin ??? install the strip with tape or something /??

That pin is adjustable and needs to be welded to the door post..so think of that before paint..

I'm thinking !! thinking about where to weld it... did you temp put the weather strip in and then adjust the door to get the pin in the right place ??

Pin install should not effect the weatherstripping...take a look at this post for some info on striker pin installation: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l-build-5.html

I was concerned that if the weatherstrip held the door out some it would effect the latching

I do all my alignments prior to installing the weatherstrip. If the striker pin is aligned correctly then the door/cab surfaces will align and will not change after the weatherstripping is installed.
