I'm in need of the bubble on the lower firewall that the dimmer switch sits in. I can't justify buying half the firewall just to repair half the bubble. Pictured below is my current one....I'm hoping one of you who has replaced his firewall will have this section in decent shape...I'll gladly buy it and cover shipping. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.
It looks like an easy patch to make using a lead filled bag and a dead blow hammer. I use 16 ga sheet steel that you can buy in 1' squares at Home Depot.
Get yourself a stainless steel bowl, cut the floor so that the bowl will drop in, clean the edges, apply a bead of structural adhesive to the lip of the bowl and drop into the hole in the floor. Quick fix, low cost, and it will never rust again.

That's a great idea, but be sure to remove the magnet on the bottom.
