Rebuilt my injectors and swapped tips now I don't know the torque for the injector tip housing to the injector anybody know what torque I need to have them?
I just rebuilt my injectors with new guts, spool valves and 30+ nozzles and torqued the top half down to 80ft/lbs but found the Accurate Diesel website shows only 65ft/lbs. I’d like to know what is correct as well. I gues the guys that rebuild them are tight lipped.
Don't suppose you got the specs on the sizes of the internal orings when you re-did them, did you? The ones that go inside the housing, not out.
No but a full set is $10 per injector from FICMRepair.com or Accurate Diesel and that O ring is included. May as well replace them all including the top one and copper washer. Cheap insurance!
I appreciate the info. The pix on both those sites only show the 7 seals, not the 9 that are required including the 2 internals. But maybe they are a new addition and old photos. You can see them all on the pic of the+30 injector tips kit, but not the seal only kit pictures.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Wanted to know how you guys liking your injectors? Is the 30% nozzle update worth it? Also did you plug any spill ports or modify the injector in any way?
