What I learned about stuff behind the KR CC back seat

Had the truck about six weeks now, been working on exterior and mechanicals. I'd noticed I couldn't get behind the back seats like in the past, some research showed there IS a latch back there, just hard to get to. I ordered a bracket and pull lanyard, and installed it today.

Now I have tabs on both sides of the back seats to pull them down.

While back there found the Sony digital signal processor (DSP) and woofer

Or you can rip it all out and put some real boom back there

Which is what I've done before: Add my own DSP, Sub, amps, and speakers. Thinking about just replacing the speakers now and looking at the rumored Kicker sub plug and play when it comes out.

You rip out the DSP, too? What'd you replace with. What's the speaker in the middle of the dash used for, namely, if I unplugged it what would I lose?

I don't see any reason to flip that side down. There is no room for storage, not even blankets or rain gear.

I can barely fit my chains and a blanket behind the seat on the passenger side. I'll take the flat floor and reduced 'behind seat storage' any day, so I can live with this.

I just added a 800w rms monoblock amp and wired it into the highlevel inputs and wired up my 2 subs @ 2ohms.

No need for a DSP to subs lol. I don't have the Sony system.
