Spring rate can differ so that is not necessarily true. A spacer is just that and it inhibits the up travel of your front suspension as the coil is compressed it will begin to make contact. The spring that is designed for increased ride height will alllow for more up travel and can be combined with the shock valving for increased ride comfort and in a lot of cases increased off road compliance.
2.5" level on mine, rides and most importantly steers perfectly. Loving it.
The truck looks great! I am really starting to like the look of the factory wheels with these lifts. Which kit did you go with and what size tires are you running?

Thanks, it rides like an absolute dream off-road. I kind of cobbled together my own lift. I wanted Carli but they only sell Kings in a 2.5 series shock and I prefer the harder/stronger shafts on the Fox shocks. So I got Carli bump drops, sway bar brackets, caster cams and a RL track bar bracket. Then i bought Fox 2.5s and 2.0s with compression adjusters and had them valved for my truck. Right now the front is lifted with a MotoFab spacer. Waiting on some custom triple rate eibach springs to replace the spacer. So... Definitely not a kit lift lol.
Oh, and tires are 35x12.50R18 General Grabbers. Bought them from Discount tire.com for $850 installed. They fit stock with no rubbing.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I have kind of done the same, part BDS, part Carli bits. Please share the Eibach springs part number when they are released as I would like to give those a try as well. Who did you order the custom valved Fox's from? Also, would you mind posting a photo from head on and/or from the back?

No part number for the springs. Couple friends in the Baja scene are testing out some spring rates and if they can get a compliant and usable triple rate spring in a 2.5" lift size. I offered to test for them, just waiting on them to deliver. If they don't work out, I'll end up buying the Carli springs. Excited to see if the triple rate springs work though! 👍
Edit; shocks, I originally ordered from Accutune Off-road, top notch guys and I highly recommend them. They input your axle weights into their algorithms to figure out what kind of valving you need to match a perfect response curve. I ended up cancelling the order because the 2.5s we're on back order for 2 months and I'm way too impatient for that hahaha. Bought the Factory Editions online at liftkit 4.com then headed over to my buddy at Race Tech to help me figure out the valving. Freeway offramps are awesome now, and wash board roads are like a gentle hum rather than bouncing all over the place. Huge difference.
I finally got the spacers (6C3Z-5598-A) changed. Although I would like for the bed to be about one (1) inch lower, I like the way it turned out. There's no need for a picture of my truck because I have the exact truck mothnuts has. I now can use the tailgate step to get into the bed.

Has anyone done this rear block then added a spacer to the coils to bring the nose up the 1"? To make it flat level
Hey Skip, just looked through my pics and I dont have any clear ones of the sway bar brackets already.
Just left my truck for the weekend, I can snap one next week. Is there something specific you wanted to see? They are basically a 2.5" spacer with holes for torquing the nuts lol.
Just bought the factory locks they measure 1.75 , the ones on the truck measure 3.25 so I'm gonna go ahead and drop the 1.5 inches in the back, then I am going to put 1.5 spacers up front and put on the bigger tires. I will post pics in case anyone wants to see ow this turns out, I also bought the blocks at the local ford dealer for $110 out the door online they were $96 with the the shipping and I wouldn't get them for a week
Yea I bought a set and the way they bolt up It looks like the stock bolts are to long and hit one of the gussets. The picture shows it different from what they sent me.
