I'm not buying any shocks until Epic releases his video. Epic is better than Consumer Reports.

Well I will get them ordered, because I am not going to Rancho's again.

The cheapest place to order the shocks is Auto Anything. Do an online chat with them and ask some random question like if they are in stock. When they say yes, ask if they have a coupon code to help you decide to make the order. They will likely give you a 10% code.

The only place to get the bushings and sleeves is Poly Performance. They don't have both parts online but if you call to order they can do it that way.

bushing- 2 each

sleeve- 2 each

This ^^^. All you have to do is ask for the 10% off and they'll give it to you quick. Poly Performance may have a problem though as they have gone through these parts quickly and are having a hard time keeping them in stock.

I can add that the fox shocks do make an improvement. For me with the oem shocks, when I would be turning or going around a curve and hit a pot hole I would get a pretty good skip in the rear end. With the fox shock and the much quicker rebound, the skip is all but gone and mostly just a bounce now. As a bonus, less body roll and nose dive.

Is there different valving or adjustments with just the standard fox 2.0s? Or are they standard?

Vendors like BDS do their own valving but I just went with the standard FOX valving. They are completely tunable if you have a shock guy to do it for you.

I'd hate to buy Fox if they are going to change the valving on them for the '17's

You'd never notice if they did. The same shock part numbers go on anything from a short bed, 6.2, F250 all the way up to a F450. They are valved for a wide range of weights. It's a generic setup.

Ok 1 more question, is there any advantage to having the adjustable res on a truck that will probably will very rarely go offroad, bit I tow lightly.

No to me. Lots of cycling will cause shock fade so the more fluid you have, the more resistant to fade. That said, I don't think on road towing applications would noticeably benefit from it. I asked FOX about it and even their tech admitted that it wouldn't help me much if at all. Adjustment would be fun for some but I know I'd never get under there and do it. I'm more of a set it and forget it guy. So, it's really up to you. It certainly won't hurt and could only help. Balance your priorities and needs vs. cost.

These are the shocks I draw my experience from. Overkill for just towing.

Wow. I had a long winded response that was lost to disconnect. But I tend to ramble so I will summarize.

In short, from experience I feel the fox 2.0 is valved properly for the weight of the super duty as is. The adjustable reservoir shock would only be beneficial in limited circumstances.

I got the adjustables because I like to have a lot firmer compression in the rear when I'm towing. Eliminates any pourpising and really soaks up the concrete freeways when towing with a heavy tongue.

I make them pretty soft on road, then crank them down when I'm doing 70mph washboard roads down in baja. Its night and day difference in those circumstances, and worth way more than the $250 it cost me. But if you aren't doing much offroading, and don't care about making them firmer for towing, you totally dont need them.

You can always add them after the fact, but they are pretty expensive add on if you don't go that route when you initially order them. FYI.
