P0624

So I have been chain a no hot start issue. Found a bad top o ring seal for injector #2 replaced the o ring put it all back together did an air test seemed good not 100% sure I don't have another leak. Still problem starting. But I am now running rough and I have a pending p0264. Thoughts on what's up?

Make sure you didn't accidently bend one or two plugging the connector back together. Also make sure it is plugged in all the way.

I believe you can get just the coil, but I'm not positive.
The pins are not hard to change. Use a pin extractor and push it out. Then crimp on a new pin and insert it into the connector.... $

take the injector to an electronics store that sells wire type supplies, maybe they would do the job. Priest Electronics here in Norfolk sells that kind of stuff, someone near you does as well.

so I attempted to repair this issue. Well long story short I jacked up the little orange retainer piece.how bad would it be to reinstall without the little orange deal?

Got a pic?
That's the pin retainer, it holds them in alignment. It may also prevent them from backing out.

Making this repair as cheap as possible... you've got nothing to loose putting it back together, it wasn't working before.

You could try talking to local shops that work on 6.0's to see if they have a junk injector laying around that you could buy for the wiring. Just cut your old connector off and solder on the harness with the good connector. Use small heat shrink tubing to insulate the soldered connections. Not all used injectors have core value--some are damaged to the point that they are not able to be rebuilt.

If you do this, be sure to use tie wraps to secure the wiring so that it doesn't lay against rocker arms, etc.
