Decided to do some preventative maintenance and trying to swap out HPOP lines. I can't for the life of me get the passenger side line to connect. Anyone have any tips/solutions or had a similar issue? Thanks again
I know when I replaced my lines recently I opted for new fittings on the pump and heads for easy installation. I had a difficult time getting the lines secured to the pump fittings, and still was not sure even after I did what I could.
The first time I started the truck up after installing the lines and fittings, I laid a towel over the pump/lines connection and closed the hood of the truck, but did not latch it. I watched very closely as the truck started, luckily the line and fitting held well.

The issue is the fitting on the head. Maybe I need to change it as well, I tried putting the old line back on and couldn't get it to connect either. How much did you disassemble to make it easier for you. The others snapped right on.
When you push the line on, it may not actually "snap" like the others. 2 of the 4 of mine did not, but held. Although, I gave them a good pull to make sure they were on. Can you try to install the head side first of the hose in order to give you more leverage and then the pump side?
I had a bunch of other stuff going on at the time like fuel bowl rebuild. The fittings were cheap from RiffRaff and the ones on the head do not require loctite. So, that is an option as well. Make sure the fitting is clean and does not have 20 year old dirt or grime on it.
