I've been reading the posts. My fresh air heater draws air from the right side louvers. On.my 1955 F-100. The heater core has a bottom and top in let. The hot water valve attaches to the bottom inlet. It mechanical and was taken water off the water pump and returned to the by pass behind the thermostat. My engine is a 312 Y Block with a thunderbird dual exhaust. The three holes that mounted the original water valve attach holes are there but the bracket is gone. And Unobtainable unless I find one on Ebay. Also the original water valve is no longer manufactured. According to mid America Ford. So I bought the NAPA mechanical valve. It's brass and should last with water pump Lube. We shall see. AJ
