Anybody know what color the bracket for the flip down sun visor was painted in 1950?
My guess is it was black regardless of body color. That seems to be the preferred practice for any item that was common to all trucks regardless of body color, i.e. running boards, side mirrors, bumpers etc. Of course the glove box, ashtray, gas tank and such were body color so I could be wrong.
I guess it also could have been Argent Silver....

I do not know about a 50 but 53 to 56 were argent silver. So 48 to 50 might be the same.
Okay, so I posted this question on the thread that is linked above, but I'll ask it here as well.....
Was it ever decided what the official colors were/are for the primer/dipped gray and the "seat frame" Brown mentioned above?
I'm not looking for 1000 point truck but I do like authenticity when I can get it.
I searched all over for that color when I redid my seat last year on my 54 and could not find it. The closest I could find was Dupli-Color Arizona Beige (AQ) #BFM0354. It is close but it is too metallic.
This is from a low mileage 54 firetruck.
Here is mine
I know you are talking about 48 to 52 seats but some new info I think I have discovered. It seems as if the 55 and 56 truck seats back rest arms were not that brown color. My 55 and other 55 and 56s I have seen on line including that low mileage stock 56 that is for sale on eBay by a member here, he calls it LEO, have a more grey color but not the argent silver that is used many other places in the interior.
